hey guys been wonting to go strip fishing i live in cleveland and have no clue were to go or what to use can i have a few tips thks guys

No Liveliner, he means stripe bass fishing. Everyone knows that fishing naked is not allowed!

tailgate1979- I do not know much about fishing for strip bass, neither stripe bass. But I know that Pickwick in west Tennessee is where I've landed over 150 stripe bass on a 3 day stay up there fishing the dam durning the mid summer using cigar minnows. It was much fun, especially when getting a bite every single cast, there was not more that 5 casts without getting hits!! But all the stripers that I caught were between 3 pounds atleast and 17 pounds.

Probably not much help at all because Pickwick is 4-5 hours from here.

Hey Tailgate, you didnt mention if you had a boat or not? Are you looking for a guide or just tips to play around. There is a guy on here that guides up around Knoxville, that does very well around this time of year, but it is not prime time. I think his name is Mjprice? Look through the Hall of Fame, one of his recent trips is featured.

Funning with you is the very best welcome you can get around here. I am glad you took that well. I have been keeping a low profile since I made that comment.

The stripe usually run up river here in the spring. We have been catching some stripers/rockfish. I would fish below the tailwaters, throw small spoon or jigs. The stripers/rockfish have been hitting trout, skipjack and BIG shad.. Let me know if I can help...
