We went for a couple of hours this morning to see if Stripers had decided to show up. Answer is no. We only caught one that weighed 8.5 pounds. One large drum (what else for me?) and 1 white bass. I did hook up with 2 more fish that pulled off after a short run. Several boats fishing, but hardly anyone catching. I did see one drum caught, 1 bluecatfish, and maybe 1 other white bass. If anymore fish were caught by anyone, I didn't see them.

I'm going to take my grandson bluegill fishing this afternoon and hope that I can find a place out of this wind. Report later.

Were you using live bait? When do the stripers show up in big numbers below the dam? I've got some swimbaits I wanna try out on them.

Drumking... thanks for report. Sorry it's bad however. I've pretty much given up on stripers for the year. All I can say is "Thank goodness for catfish!"

This was my last trip until about late October for Stripers. I'm gonna fish for catfish, Shellcrackers, Crappie and bluegills until the weather gets too hot and humid. Then I'll hibernate until the fall.

I was using jigs with sassy shad bodies on them this morning. Other boats were using live bait and I didn't see anyone doing any good.
