Had a good time with Foodsaver again this morning. The fishing was slower than I had anticipated, but we did manage to land 8 stripers between 10.8 and 15.0 pounds. I also caught a nice smallmouth, but alas, no drum catches to report this morning. I must be losing my touch. emoUpsmile

We fished from 7:45 to 10:30. TVA was running 43,400 to 44,600 cfs the entire time that we fished. That scattered the fish a little and made it hard to zero in on them. But we managed to have a great time anyway. Fat Albert missed a golden opportunity to land a big fish this morning due to circumstances beyond his control, but I'll take you again when the conditions are perfect.emoGeezer

Nice Smallie and good looking Stipers!!! 2 happy folks ...

although you both looked a bit chilly. That passes if you are catching fish though.

Thanks DK .. good report.

that was a great time. we were using jigs and just casting them out and keeping the slack out of the line. It was great to fish with you again DK. I hope you get to go sometime soon Fat Albert its a whole lot of fun!

Foodsaver, you were the lucky one and I called DK early enough so he could schedule you.... I am glad you all had a good time...nice pictures of nice fish. HOWEVER, the first picture was not very flattering of you DK.... you looked as if you were sick. LOLemoLaugh DK, there will always be a next time.... BTW, what did you catch the SM on.????

Looks like a very goog fishing tripemoThumbsup Great smallmouth drumking. Wasn't it pretty cold this morning? emoScratch
Nice hat FF emoBigsmile

With all the clothes that we had on, we could have been in Siberia and been warm. The smallie jumped 1 time about 1-2 feet out of the water. It was a nice fight. We catch those up there from time to time while striper fishing. Largest smallie that we have caught up there was 7.4 pounds which was released and probably weighs 9 pounds now.

Same thing that we catch the stripers on, Fat Albert! It's a secret bait! Actually, now that Foodsaver know what it is, it is no longer a secret.emoBigsmile A large corndog in the mustard color!

Well, if you must know, it was a 5" fluke fished on a 3/4 oz shadhead jig that I powder painted "hot" pink. Had to be a male fish.emoUpsmile emoGeezeremoBigsmile

Great job once again DK. We are leaving for FL in a couple hours and when we get back I wants me some of that striper action.
