Stripers 3.28.06 Nickajack

Hit the water this morning at 6am after taking the day off..Got out the umbrella rig and trolled for a few hours...caught 2 stripers in the 6-8lb range and had one bigger fish shake loose. Saw 4 other boat out there all catching fish (probably saw 10 fish landed)..Flip1up was out there wearing them out too is his nice new boat! Water temp was 53F.

Trolled around and picked up several nice white bass as well.

Took Sam with me this morning from my church youth group and put him on his first fish over 1lb! He had a blast and a hard time keeping the fish up for this picture.

Not gonna be able to get out there this weekend..off to ATL with my wife for our Anniversary...but my Spring Break is next week and I plan to be out there pleanty!

He told me that was only his second fish, and both have been BIG UNS. I love seeing a kid enjoying fishing.

He is 9...He sure was excited...For me and fishing, I can have just as much fun watching others catch fish as me catching them myself!
