Here's the Suck Creek ramp at 118,000 CFS

I talked to some people last night who were fishing and they reported pulling some large catfish from the bank.

Wow... Sure does look like the water is up down there. Thanks for the picture. If anyone else has any pictures like this, please post! With the water rising and our lakes flooding, we should be in for some great fishing!

half way between the ramp and that house there is a an object near the bank. You have to look hard since I had to shrink the image size. It's the roof of someone's boat house sticking up about 3' out of the water. I hope their boat isn't still under it emoLaugh

Here is a shot from upstream. Spur and foodsaver haven't fished up here today. Guess they aren't as "brave" as some thought. emoBigsmile

the flow is down to 87,000 from 118,000. I wonder if the post holes in that dock are going to re-align with the pipe as the water drops emoScratch

I drove by the lower end of the river today (Downtown around Ross's Landing) and it was ripping pretty good and I saw a couple of huge tree's floating down the river. I saw a tugboat pushing, or more like attempting to push, 3 barges up the river and he was at a crawl to say the least. If any of you decide to get out and brave theses conditions to fish, please be careful.

I've seen that tug you're talking about every morning moving barges around - it looks like a wasted effort. It does a nose dive when trying to go up river. It reminds me of my favorite children's book,

Drive down to sullivans and look across the river, it's not even in the front yards of the houses down there.
