Suck Creek?

Is the Suck Creek boat ramp in good shape and usable this time of year.....Is this ramp actually a couple miles up river from the mouth of Suck Creek?.....is there other ramps yopu would suggest in this area of the river?.......I dont know the name of the island between suck creek and Chattanooga, but is this island public land?.....It looks like it has a good size lake on it?...anyone ever fish it?....does that island have any deep water at the head of it?

The ramp is up from Suck Creek, and it is usable. There is no pier to tie off to. Dont know about the lake on the island though, somebody farms on it and there is a large herd of cattle too. Dont mean to worry you but there has been a few windows broken in the parking area. I have used the ramp for the past 4 years off and on and never had anyone mess with my truck. I have even fished there into the early hours of the morning without any problems.

I go there on a regular basis in the earlt spring and have never had a problem,that is the Ramp that we are working on to get a Dock besidi the Ramp to keep out of the MUD. It's a easy ramp to launck

John, I hope you are able to get that pier put in at Suck Creek ramp. We need one badly.

Ive had probs getting up the ramp in warmer water , when the water is down ramp is very slimy and steep, Ive had to lock in the hubs a few times to get out . I haven't even attempted since I got my 2WD Rav4 , Raccoon Mtn Ramp is the only other ramp I'm aware of down that way. As far as safety Ive fished at all hours never had a prob.
