Many of you still remember and know my son. He fished a couple CFF tournaments with us back about four years ago. Three years ago he was in a bad car accident where a lady came across the center line and hit him head on. It broke his neck, his arm, crushed his elbow, broke his leg and severed his knee cap. He was eighteen and just out of high school. He was doing nothing wrong, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time when the lady crossed the center line. That was over three long hard years ago for him. Four surgeries and tons of pain ago he has tried to live his life as well as he could with his issues.
In short he has grown another four inches or so and has out grown his knee cap repairs. It has cause a big increase in pain and the ability to use it. At 4:00 today he goes back in to remove four wires and a look at maybe removing two screws. He has the best knee surgeon in Chattanooga doing it (DR. Tim Ballard) and he is very optimistic that after he recovers Ryan will be better then he has been since the accident. Please say a little prayer that the surgeon's hand is steady and that all goes as well as could be expected.
