I spent all of last week on vaction right on Table Rock Lake and fished it all week long. First off wanted to thank everyone for the information they provided me before I went. Overall, I had an enjoyable week of fishing, just not used to sitting in 9 foot of water and being to see EVERY peeble that is on the bottom.
I fished every morning and started off with sammy or a popper style bait with calm water and changed to a splash tail in windy conditions. First of the week, I caught mostly kentuckys and finally found some smallmouth later on in the week(just all small fish). After the topwater died down, I had success on a dd22 and a baby bass dt-16 (and i was WORN after 2 days of this even with the ol' faithful 3.8:1 curado). I threw a crig, grub, finesse worm with no success. The one that got away came on friday on the sammy, est. 3-4 lb smallmouth got off at the boat, didn't have the net out and tried to bring him over the boat and he wasn't having anything to do with that!!!
Wednesday, I made a nice run to Kimberling City and saw a Toyota wrapped boat with a Yamaha motor, never got close enough, but from the pics I've seen on BASS's homepage that was Mike Iaconelli. boat. Also, got my picture made with Denny Brauer and Rick Clunn at the grand opening of the new Bass Pro Shop in Branson (don't waste your time if you are there, drive an hour to THE one in Springfield.)
Sorry for the long post(esp. since Table Rock is not close to Chattanooga!!) Carl
