I'm going to try and post a pic of a tangled mess that JSV got into today while we played hooky the second half of the work day today. We had a great time, just couldn't managed many keepers. Caught several 9 - 91/2 ". Boy it ought to be good next year. I say that every spring, these lil boogers just can't reach that 10" mark.

How do I post a pic??

Yep I know the feeling...looks familiar. If there is something to get hooked on, a net, shirt, another rod or even my own twisted line I'm gonna at least spend 5 minutes of good fishing time each trip tangled up in something like that.

It almost looks like you took the pics without him knowing so you could post em up here as a joke next time he signs on the site. emoLaugh

I shouldn't say a whole lot about his tangled mess after I thought I was running in a creek today and ended up in 6" of water. I thought for a minute I would have some real good pics of JSV with his blue jeans rolled up pushing us off the mud flat we ended up on quickly I might add. It was a beautiful day on the chick (smokey/hazy) or something out there today. When I got to the ramp, I had to wonder if everybody laid out of work today, it kinda looked like a sat. or sunday with the number of boats out. Anybody else go today??

I spent half day playin hooky with Flip1Up .. we slayed the drum .. prob caught 30 today on shad, small spoons , I caught one on a jig, not to mention Flip caught several good stripe on that spoon, He also caught several 3-5lb cats on that spoon, I got one decent cat b4 I lost my spoon, (mental note - buy flip new spoon) We had a blast .. beautiful day, haulin in one big ol drum after another.

They were castings spoons like in this picture, silver 3/8 oz, availible at wal-mart and other tackle shops, we where tossing em out let sink a few feet then , pull up a couple feet let it flutter back few feet, then repeat back to boat, heck we where even catching yellow tail shad not much bigger than the spoon with the spoon.  P.S. we caught most up in the power tube holes, and along the walls

HA!!HA!!!HA!!! tndoe270 GOT ME!!!!! Yes indeed.....Got me!!!! However, she failed to mention.....There were no mishaps with rods going overboard and the knot tying was not an issue either. I think she was just mad......cause ol' JSV put all the KEEPERS in the boat!!! ( all 3 of them ). Yes, it was an eventful day on the Chick. We fished shallow much of the day with the water temp.averaging around 61deg. we just couldn't find the slabs. Poor tndoe270 just couldn't seem to find deep enough water to run the Stratos either!!! YOU KNOW YOUR IN TROUBLE WHEN YOUR RUNNING ABOUT 50 AND YOU HEAR THOSE FAMOUS WORDS, "OL' S%@* HOLDDDDDDDD ONNNN!!!!" Fortunantly..no damage done and all in all it was a good day. Hope to try again Sat. afternoon....unless those Gobblers are fired up.

I recognize that cove! A bad day of tangles and high-speed beachings still beats a good day at the office.

What WAS up with the haze yesterday?? There were brush fires burning in the Cleve area, but I didn't hear of any others...
