It made me sick. I did not have a clue I was one of those "rich" people who "need" to pay more taxes.

Neither do the vast majority of the poor schmucks who voted in this lying monster we have for a president. Bad thing is we ALL have to pay.

If the article is total BS.....explain how..... back up your opinions with data that contradicts it. BTW, why are the Bush tax cuts temporary? Why are they set to expire in 2011? Surely some of you Republicans know the answer to that?

At this point it doesn't matter why the cuts were temporary. The country just can't stand a tax increase right now. The increase in taxes will come straight out of consumption spending which accounts for 2/3 of our economy.

I will make the attempt to answer you Danny. Although it will not make any difference to the olbummer sheep. First of all it is a source thing. We must consider the source if your article. Thirty seconds of reading on the site shows the complete liberal bias. Read further and base of the information is about Bush bashing. As a matter of fact pretty much the entire site is devoted to such. So considering the source your site is bunk.

The thread started as information showing that most if not all of our taxes will be going up. Therefore exposing another demonrat lie that only the richest of us will see an increase.

I wil not attempt to answer about the tax cuts expiring or being extended other than to say that IT IS OUR MONEY. The government has demonstrated repeatedly that they cannot spend the revenue wisely. When they get more cash they simply waste more.

Obama wants to keep the tax cuts for households making $250,000, would sign the bill today. As usual the corporate puppets in Washington are holding middle class America hostage. Fox news the Master corporate puppet has done its job well. Only way top 3% can complete their agenda. I am sure most of you guys make over $250,000 a year, so I can see your concern. I say this raise the taxes on top three percent, paper companies will pay the tax, companies that actually produce and hire will increase spending, take the write-offs, and increase their wealth, but do it in a way that it will actually trickle down. If you are a company that has a choice to buy mahinery, hire workers, expand business, or give profits to government in form of taxes, what are you going to do?

Maybe your a business that doesn't need to buy machinery, hire workers, expand business. Maybe you would like to pocket some of your hard earned money. Maybe your a couple that lives in New York or Atlanta that simply makes over 250 k a year. You send your kids to private school because the gov't schools suck. Then you have a house payment, 2 car payments, Insurance payments, Sales tax, Social Security tax, Property tax, Splost tax, State tax, Local taxes. Get my drift? Do you think with an increase in income taxes that they might spend less thus hurting the economy. I don't know just doesn't make common sense to me. Bottom line, the gov't is never as efficient at spending our money as we are.......

One thing that hit me in the face when reading the liberal fantasy is that the Bush tax charts were factual for the most part but were being compared side by side with a fictitious proposed vision of what Obama wants us to believe. Get off your ass and show me something other than going to wrong way for this country.. After two years of Democrat rule we are only seeing terms used like Obama's "PROPOSED" Tax. Can I get anyone to show me where you are better off now rather than two years ago due directly to Obama's tax incentives? This challenge does not extend to Congress, The Senate, Big Bankers or Wall Street personnel.

Biggest AMEN I have seen in a long time.

Since none of you can seem to remember the reason for the bush tax cuts, and why the were proposed as a "temporary measure", I'll explain it to you. When Bush W became President, unlike Obama, he inherited a balanced budget, in fact, the Gov't was taking in more money than it was spending. He decided for a period of 8 years to give back the money to the American people, since the Gov't didn't need it, which is fine. But instead of offsetting that lack of Federal revenue, with dollar for dollar Federal spending cuts, he and Republicans INCREASED spending, and started two wars. That's like you telling your boss that you only want to work 30 hrs a week instead of 40 hrs and then go out buy a new bassboat and pickup truck on a credit card, when you really could not afford to do buy either of them even if you were still working 40 hrs per week. This stuff really isn't all that complicated. The same bunch of financial genius's that came up with this economic plan are the ones wanting to take back Congress next month. Can't wait to see what can come up with next.

Bush's Whitehouse and congress did spend a lot of money. Thats why they got routed in the last two elections. But Obama and his croanies have spent even more. So I would rather vote for the people that spent less. Choose your poison. You can compare the budgets if you want.
