OK, well to some this wansnt a slayin, but to me, Puddle Jumper, and DOC1, it was terrific!

PJ, and I were a little early to the dinner meet and I called him to see if he wanted to stop by the Nick for a few casts.

Picked a spot out of the direct wind, and first cast 12"+ crappie! Pj was not far behind, on his first or second cast, and Slab-o-la himself, and his FIRST crappie ever! Whoo-whoooo! Another for me, and then a nice 16" bass for PJ. One more crappie, and a couple bream and Doc was calling to see where we were at. I told him dinner would wait, get over there and help catch fish.

After getting lost in his home-town....(
)..he showed up and first cast, 12" crappie, second cast, 12" crappie, third cast, missed hit...it would be a little before he got another, but we were there under an hour, and filled up a cooler with 11 slabs, and a bass.

Off the the Western Sizzlin for some grub, and we were happy campers!

Fish were caught on pan-assassins mostly in white or crystal shad, and a couple were nabbed under a float. Most were tight to the bank, (rip-rap,) from 2-8' of water. Most all were males, and were getting VERY black. Caught about 8 bream as well as what I think is a rock-bass, but PJ thought was a smallie. Somebody tell us what it was please??
