Great Tournament!! We had a hard time but managed to catch 5 keepers. In regards to the Classic, is there a minimum number of Tenn/Coosa tournaments you have to fish to be eligible for the Classic? emoEnforce

We caught all our fish on frogs. We had 5 fish that weighed 13.9lbs. All were caught on frogs. We did not catch our first keeper until the sun came out and stayed warm about 1300hrs. We had to go into the lime green seed covered grass off the main channel. We found if it was not lime green you would not get a bite. We had to go over the first line of grass into the thick lime colored areas. It was so thick the trolling motor would not help. We kept using the big engine to move to a new area. We missed aound 3 three more keepers that actually took the frog down. We probably had another 10-15 blow-ups that just moved the frog out out of their way. The first part of the day we never had a bite. It looked hopeless for about 5 hours.emoBang emoBang

My dad and I had 4 keepers that weighed almost 13lbs we caught all our fish on frogs. We fished around pine island. We were using some frogs that Cutthroat custimized for me with small spinnerbait blades for legs they work awesome around the scattered grass or a mat with alot of water over the top of it.

looney and i caught all our fish on a frog. over the past few weeks, at least for me, it seems that the pattern on both nickajack and guntersville has been a strong frog bite early, slow after 10am and then picks back up around 1pm. we only had one fish by 1pm and end up w/ 17 and some change (i really only thought we had about 14lbs). it was a tough day and were really lucky to get the bites we got. i really want to thank all of those involved in setting up the tx. it was really very well.
