I posted this under tournaments and trails as well. DHaun has the pics to post for me.
Rrigsby and I fished it and came in 6th with 15.5ish. We did lock through and went all the way down to Goose Pond. That was my first time down there and on my 10th or so cast caught one that went 6.33, 6.4 won big fish, oh well. Had a great time. Threw a lot of traps and a couple jerk baits. Between 6th and 2nd was about 1.5 pounds. Water was really warm, I think Rrygsby said it was around 56-7 degrees. Red was the color (no suprise). I didnt catch any on 1/4 oz.
I did not throw anything besides the Xcalibur red and a crawfish colored crankbait or rattle trap. The big daddy came on the Xcaliber. The other 4 fish that we weighed in could of been from the same litter, we culled a couple of times but had a hard time figuring which to throw back. We caught 1 FISH after 9AM unless you count RRIgsbys GAR (whats the Hall of Fame size needed for a GAR? It was a hoss.) Had our limit by 9 and it SHUT DOWN. From what I hear the fishermen in Mud Creek did poorly as its over fished and you could walk from boat to boat.
I dont know the area (at all) so my here and there info is a bit lacking.
Ryan, thanks again man. You always give me the big one.
