Are there thoughts about having a Guntersville tourney?? Any interest in Tims Ford?

It kinda looks like Chick and Nick will be the scheduled venues for the CFF trail, but others could always be added if there is interest. What was discussed here at the house the other night was to keep the events on C & N with a wider array of launch sites, and then we could possibly have some "open" type events on other lakes.
I know Al - and I'm sure you, Brandon - would really like to see something planned for the G, but I doubt seriously I'd be able to fish. I hate that too, but it would cost me $300 to buy my license, and gas the boat & truck. We all saw the diminished turnout for G events as gas went up, and I think it's hit me too now.
Here's the thing though ... we can get everyone's thoughts on this and do whatever ya'll want.

I'll post a feeler and see how many folks would be interested in a gville tx. Totally understand with gas prices. I'd like to set one up so I could fish along with others close. I won't be able make many chick and nick txs, due to money

Agreed Damon. We have several fishing CBAs, so those slack-assed officers of theirs (

Sorry I missed the meeting the other night guys. Damn copper-thieves got me so I was dealing with the FABULOUS Dalton PD all night......
Anywho, I agree that it would be nice to get a TX on the G, but I am like others and it would be tough for me to do it. Maybe once the economy gets turned for the better and the money flow is a little bit looser. I like the general ideas for the trail so far, and I look forward to meeting you guys at the next turnout!
