Patrick invited my son and I to the shooting range at Carter's. My son (15 years old) had never fired a weapon before and I thought it was time for him to learn. We practiced with a 22 semi automatic handgun. After a brief lesson in safety and how to aim, I turned him loose on a target at 20 feet. The first 5 rounds were centered in the bull's eye....but it was only 20 feet away. We slowly increased the distance where his accuracy fell off. Patrick gave him pointers on how to hold the gun correctly and my son's accuracy improved. He fired well over 100 rounds. He even fired a 45 twice and just grinned from ear to ear for getting up the nerve to fire a much more powerful weapon. It turned into an afternoon he will never forget and wants to go back soon. Thank you Patrick for the memories you created for both of us. My son (who will now be referred by me as Wyatt Earp) will be hanging the targets on his bedroom wall.
