Got out today from 7a-2p to practice a little for the upcoming tournament this weekend. The weather was perfect today, it started off cold but man did it turn out to be a nice day. I fished a lot of different areas in the lake and river trying to locate schools of spots mainly around points and humps. The fish are moving w/ the shad so much their really hard to keep up with. They seem to be keying on the smaller yellow tails (Threadfin) most of the fish today were spittin up the extremely small bait.

I ended up with 10 keepers for the day but not much size, biggest fish was around 3lb best five maybe 9 or 10lbs..... All my fish today were caught on The Fish Head Spin and Drop-shot worms.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and good luck on the water.

Nice fish, cool looking structure there in the background.I've never fished carters but I fish ocoee (parksville) all the time and have been told they are both very similar as far as depths go

Good lookin Spot! Carters is a great lake this time of year! Carters and Parksville are similar in many ways...except depth! LOL...Carters is 400+ at the dam and most coves on Carters are deeper than Parksville is at the dam. But, both are clear with lots of timber. BTW...what kind of small drop bait is that you were using...me likes! ;)

The drop-shot bait in the pic is a Berkley Power minow 3 inch.... They make a lot of different colors and it is a good bait.
