Fat Albert rounded up Me and DrumKing for a visit to check on EricM. We visited for an hour or so. Eric seems to be making excellent progress but still has a ways to go before he gets the green light to resume fishing. As most of you know, Fishing for EricM is a strenous activity. It's not easy cranking in 80 lb catfish. Right now he's limited to lifting 5 lbs or less. He needs to go fishing with me. I guarantee he won't be lifting anywhere near 5 lbs as long as he's with me.

Anyway, we had a great visit and I hope we didn't put too much stress on him. Keep on keeping on, Eric!!

Lookin great eric, keep getting better so we can see somemore of those big ole cats. Allready missing your posts

Thanks MB for the update. I would like to go visit him but remembering myself not to long age in his shape I am a little hesitant to add that strain on him. It will be awhile before he can return to lifting the weight of fish he is accustomed to lifting. But as my case always is it don't take much to lift a chunk of bait out of the water.

Eric looks like his old self in the picture but i know he doesn't feel like his old self, he is making progress by the big smile on his face, hope he gets well soon so that he can get back to chasing cats.

I always knew EricM had a heart as big as all outdoors. Now we have the picture to prove it! emoLaugh

Thanks for sharing, and visiting.

OMG, what a horror! There was this commotion at the front door with lots of pounding and ringing and shouting, and I realized that I had failed to lock the front door and was being invaded!!!! They may indeed call themselves the three Amigos, but I swear their first names are Moe, Larry, and Curly.

After politely filling their orders for Geritol and fiber, I seated them as close to the bathroom as possible to keep them from getting lost on what turned out being very regular trips to the little boy's room.

In return, they told stories of days long gone (to me when they remembered I was there, and to themselves when they either forgot or just didn't care), mainly of species now extinct and with the occasional highly-suspect story of some special hunt at night involving a gunney sack, a flashlight, a noisemaker such as a whistle, a call, or a drum, and a mysterious bird called a snipe.

What a hoot! I was flat worn out when they finally quit telling stories, and just as pleased as I could be to have friends who would come up to share their day with me. We are truly blessed to have folks like these to call our friends!

Now, where did I put the keys to double-lock the front door????????

God blesses you Eric.
Just keep getting better as you are and thank your friends for their prayers and fellowship that is so priceless to us in this life!

Those three could make a dead man laugh. emoUpsmile Glad to see you smile that big grin of your Eric. I know that cats at the Nuke have sure been glad to get a vacation from you being after them. emoTongue I was up there not too long ago and there was not a sole in sight. Just did not seem right to not at least have you there. You get well soon and let us know if you need anything. emoGrouphug Jmax

I bet if you'd checked cabinets, Mary doesn't have anything except "healthy" food anyway.

You wouldn't have wanted that anyway. emoLaugh

Way to go Eric! If a visit from those three don't give you incentive to get out of the house nothing will! Take care of yourself buddy and you'll be back putting those big blues in the boat in no time!

WOW!!! All that cutting and stuff and they did nothing for his looks. You would think with that many doctors cutting on him one of them would have done something with his mug. emoPoke

It was a great visit with a great friend. Eric really looked good, but like FA said, he didn't offer us any food, drink or any such thing. Just access to the bathroom which we all took advantage of. FA went about 3 times. Albert, you need to get the prostate checked. emoBigsmile Between Eric and Madbomber re-living their hospital stories, I felt like a 3rd year med student by the time that all the recollections were done.

Don't expect Eric to be landing any aquarium fish for quite a while yet. Probably will be spring before he gets the clearance to use bait larger than a cricket. Can you imagine a cricket on a 8.0 circle hook? We will be back for another visit soon. I'll bet he keeps the doors locked now. emoBigsmile emoGeezer

He traded me all his high dollar liquor and beer for the fantastic pulled BBQ that I took him the other day, he is eating high on the hog now and he is glad to get off the pureed baby food and lean cusine for a bit.
