The Big G

Was just wondering if anyone had fished the Big G lately I'm planning to head down that way this weekend to spend some time with family and enjoy the holiday was wondering if the spraying of the docs around homes down their is effecting the fishing their as well been reading all the post about what it's done on the chick I fish Guntersville several times a year and the grass is always fun to fish this time of year on the frogs and top water however a few years ago we was their in Labor Day weekend and they had sprayed and it made for a long weekend fishing docs of course you could find fish out in a little deeper water but was really wanting to fish town creek and Mud creek and was just wondering if anyone had been around their since all the spraying had taken place.

Going this evening fished river front nickajack this morning but heading down now should be able to fish a bit this evening

Had a pretty good time over at the Big G I promised a report ended up not getting to go over Friday a dear friend passed away and I helped preach in his funeral so it was late Sunday night before we made it over to the camper at town creek however we got to fish most of the day on Monday before we had to head back home we caught several small fish in the grass and pads in town creek then we went up to mud creek caught a couple more small ones up their fished several other spots before the day ended only had 3 keepers all day and 2 of them came from the point of the river at south coon creek and one on the crass line at bee B comer bridge , the biggest fish we had all day was 6 pounder but it was a good over night trip and you guys are write the grass was a lot better on the Big G than it has been on chick also noticed a lot of signs where they had did some spraying also sorry not much of a report but that's as good as it gets for a over night trip
