However, I’m not entirely sure if all of you saw a certain photo that speaks volumes as to the character of Sergeant Crowley.

You can find the image at the White House’s official blog here (I wonder how long it will be up there, though?).

The American Thinker had something interesting to say on the subject:

I am stunned that the official White House Blog published this picture and that it is in the public domain. The body language is most revealing.

Sergeant Crowley helps the handicapped Professor Gates down the stairs, while Barack Obama, heedless of the infirmities of his friend and fellow victim of self-defined racial profiling, strides ahead on his own. So who is compassionate? And who is so self-involved and arrogant that he is oblivious?

And they are right. Sgt. Crowley had no reason to help Dr. Gates. After all, wasn’t it Gates who had insulted both him and his family? Furthermore, isn’t Obama supposed to be the emphatic one here (after all, it’s a trait that only Democrats are supposed to have because they “feel your pain”!) for inviting them down in the first place in the hopes of reaching some sort of understanding that never came to fruition?

But, in this unusually candid photo, the truth comes out. Obama keeps on walking paying no heed to Gates, and it is Crowley, who has been demonized throughout this entire incident, who is left to help the man. I can’t help but think back upon a certain photo I saw of President Bush and Senator Robert Byrd.

President Bush had no reason to even want to help Senator Byrd, who had spent much of his time in the Senate railing against the Bush administration, particularly on the war in Iraq, yet he helped the old man regardless.

Note the difference between the two Presidents. Furthermore, note how both Bush and Crowley helped men who didn’t deserve it, at least not from them.

If you were the president and you invited anyone to a beer summit, he had to show the two guests where they were going, he couldn't hardly stay in the back and direct his guests. But if he was a republican he would have done it a lot different I presume. How long did you have to prowl the internet to find the pictures shown? I remember one video of Bush trying to open a locked door when he was in front, he sorta had a dumb look on his face so I guess this evens the two presidents out.

Actually I think Bush was a pretty good guy although I don't agree with much of his second term. I don't think Obama is such a good guy but he's a good actor when he's in front of a crowd.

Your reply is called diversion Doc. Basically try and point the blame at something else to avert attention, but not really justify the details of any given issue. What Bush may have done bad is not the issue here. These two examples are what were talking about, plain and simple. Bush was a decent person, who never thought he was above the average citizen, or even one of his enemies. Obumer is an elitist who looks down upon any and all other people.

A person does not have to prowl the internet long to find stuff like this. Even olbummer's own people are throwing him under the bus now that they are seeing his actions instead of his words.

I remember Bush when he was just starting his first term, he was supposed to be sitting in his recliner eating pop corn, he falls out of the lazeboy on carpet and ends up with a six inch gash on his forehead, how did he do that? Just picture yourself in that situation. I have a recliner and I couldn't fall out of it if my life depended on it.I wonder if he smarted off to the little lady and she didn't take any of his crap and used a lamp or fireplace pokeron his head. Just a thought.

Looks like a rude, beer drinking, cigarette smoking, womanizer to me.Maybe Jessie Jackson will go to the White House and steer him straight like he did Clinton. Or maybe they will have a cigar together.

Bush at least had personal integrity. Even if he fell off a mountain and knocked his brains out, he would still be far ahead of Obama in that area.

BS said it best.

I still haven't heard how we are supposed to pay for all the bailouts and health care. Maybe if they send me a stimulation check I can run out and buy me a new TV and video game like the rest are. Then I could play Mario and not worry about this bull, or higher taxes.

My last, and only, stimilus check was used to pay, dare I say it, property TAXES. And it did not come shortly after our government had bailed out and bought up stock in wastefull banks and car manufacturers to the tune of billions and billions and billions of dollars. I guess it would be detrimental to our economy if the CEO's didn't get their multi-million dollar bonuses so they could fly around in their private jets.

And the spending of money that we don't have is just beginning. Could some of you obama lovers tell me how you can justify spending money you don't have ? Please don't start by blaming Bush and so and so, they are NOT in office any longer. It all rests on obama. He wanted it, he got it, and look at how he's handling it. Heck, a monkey can be trained to promise anything and say yes to everything, but that's not exactly what our country needs, is it ?

I keep getting around $600.00 a month in stimulas money, I guess they figured out that I am a democrat and needed it, it comes in handy though and I ain't gripeing. I hope they keep those printing presses rolling, printing out all those 100 dollar bills, it hasn't worried me yet who was gonna pay it back, I just collect them.

Please don't twist my posts into a knock on SS. I have never, and never will, take anything, or want to take anything, from the former hard working taxpayers that are now drawing retirement. They have earned it and really should draw more than a scant $600. It is not a handout, or stimilus, it is payed in and well earned.

I am not a die hard Rep, Dem, or Independent.I have no intention of being blindly loyal to anyone or any party. I make my voting decisions based on what the candidate says and how he/she says it. With all the attacks/counter attacks made in campaigns these days it's impossible to tell who is going to do what when they get in office. I don't think obama knows what he's doing about the ecenomy and will put us in debt forever. He's too inexperienced and worried about his popularity.

Did any of you anti Obama fans return the last stimulas check that they sent you?

Nope I paid off credit cards and put it in savings. It was MY money they were returnng to me.

Our system should work like most Mutual Insurance companies do. There should be a return of premium at the end of the year based on what you paid in. But that would require a surplus, which we probably won't see again for another 100 years.

AS has been said, they are leaving the White House, it's pretty obvious which way to go. But as an example, I spent the last two days in 3 doctor's offices. Each time the nurse was able to politely show me the way I needed to go while staying close enough to help me if needed. Not that hard for someone who thinks of other to do.

Cheez has asked this many times with out a direct answer: What will this President have do do to loose the support of those who voted for him? There are many who have realised that they did not get what was promised or that they fell for a great Speech Giver. How many times will he have a Friendly meeting with the Ahmadinejad's, the Kim Jong-il's, the Castro's, or the Chavez's before people start to question what his motives are? How many liberties will we have to loose? How many of you with nice boats will have them taken away and given to those of us less fortunate? emoPoke
