It happened!!!emoBang emoBang emoBang I just love them screwing with the lake levels. I went out to check the lake and look it over this afternoon and the water was down over a foot and it was still going out as I was there. Decided to run up to where I caught those good fish last time and just see. Fished for maybe three hours in two places and had six on, boated three, out of the three no keepers. Did see one of the six that got off was a good one but I will not have over 20 if that is the same come Saturday.:( My fish seem to be pulled back out. Also if you havent' been watching the weather it is suppose to clear off saturday and be a pretty day.emoBangAgain not what I wanted. With this new stuff in mind I feel the winning weight just dropped down to 15 to 16 pounds maybe less. emoBigsmile Jmax

Jmax, don't give up. Those good fish aren't gone, they've just relocated to areas that are close by and may be even more concentrated because the water has fallen. If I were you I would get out a map and check for outside bends, points that come in contact with the channel and use my electronics to find brushpiles close to those areas where you were catching them. The fish are still there and hungry but you just have to fish for them in a different, close by area. I know that sounds simplistic but from experience and from most of what I have read, with the falling water comes more concentrated groups of fish and finding those congregation "spots" is the key to being more consistent with these creatures. I know that you don't have much time to check it out before the tournament but there should be specific areas that those fish will be on when they pull off the shallows. Look at it as a challenge my friend, it will make you and all of us better fisherpersons (please note the non-gender verbage). emoAngel

Dang it. Polo's rigtht but man, I love fishing shallow and not having to think too much. Looks like the cranks will get a nod on Saturday.
