BS. Tell that to someone else who is stupid enough to believe that crap, but not me. It finally happened this morning. Now both the wife and I are both unemployed . All I have to say is , guys don't take your job for granted, you have it one day and gone the next. Both the wife and I were working for different companies for over 20 years and all that is gone now. Don't know what the future will bring , but it doesn't look good for the both of us.

Well signing off , till I get my head back in it's place ...... emoConfused

That is sad to hear. Just stop and take a breather and think it through. You and your wife didn't get this far on pure luck so think it through. It may not be what you deserve but it will be passable.

What kind of work do you do and maybe we can all keep our ears open for you. Hang in there and read what Bubbakat wrote over and over. Jim

Nothing happens by "chance", everything happens for a reason. You have to stop & look. Been there and everything turned out for the better, not all at once, but over time.
Remember, it's not your fault or your wife's fault, so hang in there together and with the help of friends and family or an outside source, things always get better.
Good Luck & all it takes is a little Luck. Nothing remains the same, for long.

Im sorry to hear that as well. I agree with you. I've had 2 friends and 1 relative that got fired in the past 6 mo. One friend had worked at the same place for 18yr. My wifes uncle had worked at his job for 12 and another friend had worked at her job for 22yrs. Small businesses can afford this crap!

Hate that for you Al. I will ask around and listen out for anything in your area.

Thanks Wayne, maybe I'll be able to join your bass club as soon as I get a job. I 've been dying to fish with you guys for a long time, but just haven't been able too.

What line of work were you in?

Aircraft Overhaul and Repair, worked at G.E. for 23 years until they shut the plant down. Not many Aircraft facilities around here, but I don't care if I have to change my career. I have applied at every company hiring in my town , in Nashville and Chattanooga with no results. It's like my neighbor say, it's not what you know, but who you know. Since I've only been living in TN for 2 years, I don't know to many people just yet. I'll just keep trying till I find a job or dying trying.

See if you can get a shot at an application at the VW plant. With what you know you may be a "Shoo-in" They even called me in for testing, but I had to turn them down.

Al, Sorry to hear about the job...You might want to look at the Huntsville area lots of Aerospace companies down there...they've got a lot of other projects starting up and underway as well.

Al.....go to the NORFOLK-SOUTHERN website. I believe the railroad is hiring in this area. As for your wife...COSTCO has a decent starting salary...also apply on line there too.
