I just wanted to let everyone know that my contacts from the FLW and another from the record label of country music singer Dylan Scott, they both sent me e mails yesterday. The the Dayton attendance set a record for them! Also the Chevy Pro Night at Don Ledford Chevy was about 4/5 times what they had expected. They had great support from our tri state area. As I was leaving and walked through the parking lot at the Walmart Sunday afternoon, it was unreal at the out of state license plates that I saw. To bad that the City of Chattanooga / Hamilton County is so blind. Everyone that I spoke with from with FLW and the participants loved the Chick experience, the people here and can't wait to come back. I know that we had several local guys running camera boats and I would like to hear there commits from their observations.

Chattanooga only cares about tourists and creating minimum wage jobs. So sad, nowhere for our kids to get a decent job. I guess we at least have a pretty waterfront for those that can buy the gas to get there. No change in the near future.......

Too bad Chattanooga is letting Dayton take the tournaments.
I spent seven years in Plattsburgh, on Lake Champlain, and Plattsburgh took all the tournaments after Burlington, Vt. hosted the first one on the lake in 1999. Worked with both BASS and FLW on the NY side through our club. There were from seven to eleven sponsored tournaments each year. The economic impact is huge, as is the free PR. People know about Plattsburgh and the lake, and keep coming back to fish, purchase property and promote the area. Dayton will have the same success. Once all the pieces are in place it is very hard to get them to change when everything is running smoothly.

... and the Lady Bass Anglers are up there in Dayton this week as I understand. I also saw where Kimball has landed a Tn. State Bass Tx. on the Nick. The announcement from the Kimball Mayor was that it would have a projected $480,00.00 impact on their community. Don't you just love it?

I would rather money go to these smaller communities. I feel like any money the city of Chattanooga would get they would put in the wrong pockets and never help the community. Being from birchwood I love seeing Dayton get the attention

I ran a camera boat for all four days. It was an great experience. I met people from all over the planet, as far away as China. I could write a book about the experience...

I was not looking forward to launching my boat along with 150 other boats, and I figured Dayton would be a wreck. I was wrong. It took 15 minutes to launch all the boats, there was ample parking, and lots of help on the golf carts from the local police. Each morning local sheriffs escorted boats up and down 27. I asked several anglers how Dayton stacked up against Chattanooga as far as a chickamauga event. They all said they liked Dayton better, because the smaller towns do a better job catering to the fishermen. The only thing that sucked was the long boat ride from dayton down to the lower end. I did over 300 river miles in 4 days.

I was most impressed by the improvements at the Dayton boat dock. They handled the crowd well, not to mention the restaurant and full stocked out tackle shop. Its a nice place to launch.

The FLW employees are top notch folks, from the camera guys to the tournament director. Everyone was super cool. Now some of the anglers are total a-holes but the majority were super nice.

I bet Dayton gets all of the major txs from here on out, and thats not a bad thing.

I agree 100%... Chattanooga targets projects that fill the pockets for the elite few. - ie; Riverbend</p>
