</div><div>People of any level of common sense,</div><div>
</div><div>The escalating numbers of public shootings and rage against one’s parents and society stems from a single cause.</div><div>
</div><div>Do not blame anything but the truth. It's not about God, Nor Guns. All the blame casting on gun control actually makes the problem more apparent to these future potential killers who are being molded as we speak. Blaming Guns is only a major distraction that takes away from the real cause. Do you blame the automobile for drunk drivers? Same principle here. The gun has become the tool of choice because of all the attention it is given every time an event like this occurs.. It will only continue until we work on the real problem.</div><div></div><div>It all comes down to the fact that our society pussyfoots around raising moron children by molding them into helpless insecure young adults without the understanding of tolerances and respect. They are given most everything they want and have learned they do not have to be denied. As children they throw a tantrum and get whatever they want rather than an ass beating. Trying to be Politically Correct and by failing to put the fear of consequences into developing children, you are molding them to have no concept for values of anything, Including Life itself.</div><div>
</div><div>I see the many shooters as being mostly white young men, quiet type from middle income families. If you take the approach, I am pointing out here, you may start to see a pattern.</div><div>To prove my point. Redneck Mama's will jerk a knot in a kid's hind-end and Ghetto Mama's will smack you into next week. You do not see these kids doing this. It is with those who relax the strict rules of parenting most who seems to be generating these nut cases. I can see where these young men who have always had their way in life are now facing the real world. The real world is harsh. They can not accept the fact that Mom and Dad has turned them out to face this world head-on and all alone.</div><div>
</div><div>Growing up as middle class, they see their parents struggle at times and as children they see just enough of life that it creates a fear into them thinking it is the worst thing ever. However these over protective parents show to the child that they are shielded from all harm. That gives the false sense of comfort these parents strive for in shielding these children. Children should be made aware to overcoming these everyday struggles as a major part of their training for life as the adult they will become.</div><div>
</div><div>When these children are reaching the age to become adults, They have never before been denied nor have they experienced real discipline. They simply "Freak-out" in fear. In their minds they have never faced the facts that they are expected to have situations in their lives that seem impossible. They choose to rebel against their parents and society where they feel they can get the most attention. Just as they did as children to have their way. And as we see, they express themselves in a public Tantrum that takes the lives of the innocent.</div><div>
</div><div>"Why only in America?" Easy answer, Trying to be Politically Correct and it is American Families who practice the parenting that shelters their children from all aspects of the hard facts of becoming a responsible adult. These young men fit that profile.</div><div>
</div><div>
</div><div>
</div><div>I can imagine that as these same over protective children grow into young adults those simple minded parents seem to turn on the young men. As that young adult, they see their parent throwing them to the Wolves. I can imagine parents actually criticizing the child they themselves created to the point of threatening to throw them out of their security of home. They are talked down to as being lazy and worthless. Some of these young adults may not see any way of dealing with responsibilities since they have had an entire life without being responsible for anything.</div><div>
</div><div>This is not about guns or gun rights. Guns are only the selected tool these people have selected as their tool to carry out their Tantrum of rage. Timothy McVeigh did not use Guns. Guns have become the most popular method since it is basically easy to get through both legal and illegal means. This is NOT about fixing this by getting the guns out of the hands of these improperly raised and untrained young men. It is about understanding and targeting these parents who are creating these monsters.</div><div>
</div><div>I get so sick of all the media and so called experts struggling with gun controls. That is not the answer. At this very moment on NBC there is a discussion to take weapons of war out of the hands of responsible citizens. That is dead wrong and takes the blame and center of attention away from the very root of this problem. These parents will see the shootings that were a direct result of the over protective parenting and use the guns as an excuse to continue creating these monsters.. </div><div>
</div><div>As the old saying goes, “Spare the rod, spoil the child.“ Maybe there is more truth to that than being politically correct can or will admit.</div><div>I do not beat my children. In fact I could count on one hand how many times I have had to spank my now Sixteen year old son. He was taught that he must answer for his actions therefore the fear of a spanking coupled with knowing he has disrespected his dad makes for him a desire to make good decisions. </div><div>

COLUMBINE STUDENT'S FATHER 12 YEARS LATER !!

Guess our national leaders didn't expect this. On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton, Colorado, was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.

They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness.. The following is a portion of the transcript:

"Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.

"The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart.

"In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent

I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.

Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
Your words are empty air.
You've stripped away our heritage,
You've outlawed simple prayer.
Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
And precious children die.
You seek for answers everywhere,
And ask the question "Why?"
You regulate restrictive laws,
Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!

"Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs -- politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.

"As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge.. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone!
My daughter's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!"
- Darrell Scott

Do what the media did not - - let the nation hear this man's speech. Please send this out to everyone you can.
God Bless

Rather than putting this on the forum, I suggest we share those thoughts with our US congressmen and senators. Already the guns bought legally by the shooters mother was all done legally. I was told the media is portraying those guns as weapons of mass destruction. The question was asked why a person would need them. The gun control people don't lie- they just don't tell the entire truth.

While the Columbine father did make that statement, it was actually on a Thursday in May in 1999. He was one of 8 people who made statements to a small house subcommittee meeting in an office building. His statement was not poorly received and it was covered by the associated press and was reported in several large city newspapers.

I like what he had to say, but before we go sending copies of it to legislators we will want to get the facts right. This way such an important message doesn't get written off as nonsense and half truths spread through spam emails and on message boards passed off as 100% fact.

The transcript is acurate, but all the circumstances surrounding it were made up to help it go viral. And now with this new school shooting it has been updated to make it seem as though the statement was made recently. Here's the link to the snopes fact check of the email chain that started in 1999.

The liberals will do anything to get guns banned. They are unwilling to accept the fact that the morons will use bombs, knives, cross bows, etc. etc to kill. They do not understnad it is not the gun, it is the moron. We did not have morons like this when I wa a kid. My parents nipped it in the bud in the wood shed.

True. If someone is nuts enough to kill someone, not having their weapon of choice will not turn them into a calm rational non violent human being. They will simply use the next best option in their eyes to get the job done. You can't legislate away crazy.

What doesn't add up to me is WHY the mother bought a BUSHMASTER. If she did buy it. I can understand the handguns for protection, etc. Was the guns the fathers, that he left there? The brothers? So many unanswered questions? I'm sorry but, I have to blame the docs, the phamacuetical companies, etc, that put these kids on drugs......that have some strange side effects, etc. Do they EVER investigate these young killers backgrounds as to their "mental" capabilities? I'm done.
