Just wanted to remind everyone that this weekend is the second CBA open for 2013. This is the Reddick Auto Body Inc CBA open. The year is shaping up to be another good one. The lake is fishing big right now with 40 and 30 pound limits taking top honors in many of the tournaments on the lake. As usual you can go by and register at Nichols Marine, Soddy Custom Tackle, FishnFun or Hamilton Sport Shop. The entry is $120.00 per boat for two adults, $60.00 for an adult with a youth 16 years of age and under. First place is always $2,000.00 for the winning team and all other places are determined by the number that enter. Last month we paid out 14 places. We also pay out three big bass pots for the largest Large Mouth, Small Mouth and Spotted Bass. The times of fishing are Safe Light to 4:00 pm. If you want to enter for points and compete in the Classic you must purchase a processing number, $50.00 per person. Other rules and how to qualify for the classic can be found on our CBA web site, link is below. Hope to see you there. Jmax

dont let rogne fish so u can have a different winner.lol

So your suggestion is if someone is on a good bite they cannot fish? emoTskTsk

You sould be ashame Oldman. The fish are always moving. It will be interesting to see if his fish/bite will hold for another tournament. When those bass move shallow to stage for the spawn that bite will be gone. Jmax

Agreed. The bite is about to change dramatically between the water coming up and the temps on the rise. From listening to his interview i think he was expecting it to change for the BFL but the cold snap helped keep it where it was. Either way though a good fisherman will figure out a pattern.

Yes, Rogne is a good one no matter what the pattern. Of coarse that whole group of CBA anglers are good. Any given day one of them may get on them. I have said this many times before, that group is some of the best competition bar none I have ever seen in a tournament series. When you get a check with that bunch you have done well. But don't think you cannot compete. If you look at past years there are many times non-regular anglers win and/or get a check. It is also one of the best run tournaments I have ever been involved in. I would highly recommend if you have never fished one of the CBA tournaments to do so. emoAngel Jmax

I personally love the competition. I like the fact that one of the best FLW pros (Andy Morgan), and an up and comer (Michael Neal) fished our first tournament of the year... CBA isn't for everyone, and if you don't like fishing against the best competition regionally then this probably isn't for you... Most people that fish CBA want to fish at the highest level of competition possible because when you do cash in a tournament you feel like you have accomplished something. I know for me personally cashing in 2 tournaments last year and finishing in the top25 was the highlight of my year last year... Not winning or cashing in numerous dogfights and smaller tournaments. To each his own but please stop complaining about the best run trail in the state and possibly the region... That is all!

Fortunately we have not had as many complaints as we have in some past years. Last year we had several new teams and this year in the first one there was a bunch of new faces. emoThumbsup Some folks just wanted to fish it so they could have the experience of what it is like to compete at that level. You will usually pay a lot more then $120.00 to fish against the likes of the CBA bunch and to have the Big Box experience fishing a tournament like you do in the CBA series. If anyone has any questions please give us a shout, call me or Pm me if you would like. Love to see you this weekend. emoToast Jmax

First CBA of the year for me this weekend. I cannot even work i am so pumped...

Don't you have another trade show or something to go to? I think you should work this one too. emoPoke Jmax

Hahaha shoot I am not on any kinda 40 pound bite, but were going to give it our best shot....No trade shows until May, and fortunately it does not conflict for the rest of the season. Thank goodness it about killed me missing the first one LOL....

I heard every one is having trouble finding the Cane Thumper 3.5 in White that Rogne is using. I found some and will bring them to the CBA that morning if anybody wants a pack. 10 packs available. Call me if you want to reserve them. (706) 270-1826 Thanks Andy

We will be paying out 12 places tomorrow. Yes, it should be a good one. Me and Derek will be blasting everyone off in the morning. Hope to see you there. emoThumbsup It was a little light for our March event but it is Easter Weekend and for some it is spring break. That may have tied some of our regulars up. :( Jmax
