I was pulling for them, along with the wife. But they just could not get it together! Do they even have a chance at any type of championship game? Hope they do better in the next game. :)

I read Butch promised Hurd we would run more on an I-formation this year like we did in the bowl game last year. But we havent done it once. Plus hes playing hurt and lost 3 in a row. Sounds to me hes depressed and made a rash statement. Oh well. I like Kelly.

Butch has about lost his team!! Not looking good at all!! From what I hear there may be more leaving, sure hope it's all rumors!! A new OC might be needed!

I was told by a couple of Tn. supporters that Hurd and Jones had words at the end of the Ga. game. Then after the game they clashed again and Jones told Hurd that the last time he checked he was still the Head Coach and he could and would sit him down. Hurd made another remark and Jones told him not only would he not play against Tx. A&M but he would not be on the travel team. They said that Hurd was not really injured. That was a cover up excuse for the media. My understanding even if you are injured, of course not severely, a starter does travel with the team. Hurd of course did not travel and was very disgruntled to say the least. Then Kamara caught a little more of the limelight and he was further upset. Then Kelly came on and took a little more of the limelight. While watching the Tn. SC game I noticed that most of other players kept their distance from Hurd and he stayed on the sideline away from everyone else ... alone. Even after he scored the only player that can over to him to congratulate him was Dobbs. I just don't understand that with four games left in the season and he is 400 yards away from being the all time Tn. rushing leader way quit now? He should just play out the season and they wait for the NFL draft. Also the NFL will not like what appears to be a Pre Madonna attitude or a quitter. He's making a big mistake in my opinion. Now for what it is worth, that is what I heard from two backers in separate conversations.

I assumed he was benched for the A&M game. I can see both sides. Hurd was told he was going to be a featured back and the offense never went that way at all. He's never been a trouble maker but everything I've read was he's just a little different. IMO he would make a killer tight end though !

I read that he was wanting to transfer before this year and Jon gruden talked him into staying.

I don't see Tennessee doing anything without replacing debored. He's to predictable. I understand doing something over and over if it is working but when you run the same plays for 2 or 3 quarters every game and it hasn't worked all year when are you going to get the hint something has to change. Dobbs is not a pocket passer never will be. I do still think dobbs is the best for the job right now but you have to get him outside the pocket so he becomes a true duel threat. His arms not good enough to hang out in the pocket he has to get outside to pull a secondary off double coverage in the middle of the field to create one on one match ups and more potential for blown coverages. That's why he's thrown so many picks this year and weak arm and a very easy to read qb with no line coverage someone is cutting inside on nearly every pass. He didn't throw a single pass outside to pocket last week and only 3 in the Bama game. Both games were terrible. About 70 percent of passes were outside the pocket in the a&m game and they rallied up 700 yards of offense but then went away from it ? Same offense they ran in 2 other games. 2nd half of Florida and 3 quarters of the va tech game. Both very productive
