Seemed to have a run here lately. Went to an elderly lady's house in Apison that was spared the tornadoe but during all the traffic looking at the damage she returned home to find her back door kicked in and her new flat screen large TV gone. emoBang I really felt bad for her. She had just recently purchased it and she was very proud of it. She did have insurance but had the usual $1,000.00 deductable. Got a little after having to replace the door and frame, then the TV. emoRolleyes
Went to a remodle site of two homes yesterday and the builder wanted us to go ahead and put the alarm in one home and pre-wire the other. He went on to tell me the one home that was just about finished they had left a bunch of their tools in and locked it up. Came back the next day and one of the back windows had been broke out and you guessed it....tools all gone. emoBang
Went to another home last week in Hurricane Creek Estates and they too had had a couple break ins in two close homes. They were afraid they would be next. Just as last year the homes had been hit while the kids were away and the adults at work. Looked like they were casing the homes and watching to see when no one was home. She told me they were hitting the homes without an alarm. She is getting one next week. emoThumbsup
Don't know if any of you saw it but yesterday on the channel three news they were talking about another home invasion. Three males and one female who said she was forced to do it...went to a man's home and knocked on the door. When he went to answer it they forced their way in and robbed him. He was lucky in that they did not hurt the man and just made him lay down in the tub. They had an Action Alarms system which the news kept showing. emoScratch If you open the door and it is not on it will not work. emoRolleyes News went on to say they hit the wrong home and were looking for some guy they believed had drugs. emoMad At least that is what the female is claiming she overheard.
