Well on sunday I will have a nice relaxing day alone (by choice). I decided that even though it's goin to be a cold weekend I still may go try my luck somewhere. Maybe suck creek or Harrison state park (I think thats what it is called of Hwy 58). DO you think I will have any luck with ANYTHING out there? I don't have a boat so I will be fishing from the bank.

Wolftever Creek (the boat ramp on the right on outbound 58 just before you get to HB entrance) is a good place, with both shallow and deep water easily accessible. In HBSP, the point across the bay from the boat ramp is also easy access to shallow and deep water. These areas might give you a good chance whether the fish go deep or stay shallow. There are also a couple of coves behind the tennis courts and pool that are not as easy to get to, but usually have a few fish to catch. Good luck...if I don't get the nerve up to get the boat out SUN, I'll probably see you on one of those banks!emoToast

Also...I haven't been to Suck Creek in years, but I understand there are fish there, tooemoThumbsup

And Chester Frost Park is on your side of the river...also easy to get to shallow and deep water there. Pick up a lake map and you can find the spots.

The rip-rap around and under the bridge at Wolftever on 58 is always full of bream/ crappie catchers, and I've caught many off the banks of the slough on the left just as you turn off 58 to head towards HBSP.

This little puppy was caught off the Wolftever bank on the ramp side 1/4 mile up creek where the rocks start. The creek channel runs up against the bank about there...

Sounds good. I need something to do the girl is goin to her family's house for Easter, I figure perfect time to get out and fish. If you go on the banks what time you plan on bein out there?

If the wind is over 10 mph I'll hit the banks...below 10 I'll take the boat out. If the bank, I'll most likely go to WTCreek (best chance to get out of the wind) around 10 AM w/ minnows and ultra-lite as well as bass gear. It'll be coooooold, but the sun should bring some bass up to tan. If nothing happens there I'll move to the bank at the entrance road to HBSP, then the spots in HBSP next. If you like, PM me your phone # and I'll ring you if I go.

One more...this little beauty came off the bank near Ross's Landing downtown.

Funny...I have a boat and my last 3 fish over 3 lbs came off the bank! I have an empty back seat at times if you wanto to get out ON the water and NOT catch fish.emoLaugh

The water really may be cold by Sunday. I just went out and checked the water temp in Wolftever creek and it was only 63 degrees. I was thinking that the water would only drop into the mid 60's but it may be in the mid 50's by early Sunday morning. Brrrrrrrrrrr! Hopefully the fish will not have lockjaw too bad but there is a good chance that it will be pretty tough.

Sorry, Sal, took the boat out SUN...did you get to go? We caught 9, all within 20 feet of the bank in Wolftever...nothing very big, one 2-7 and 2 others 1-12...but had fun...maybe next time...
