My neighbor and I decided to fish the dogfight out of HBSP. There were a total of 62 people entered. We wanted to try some main lake drops but it was whitecapping pretty badly so we just went to Wolftever. I caught our first fish right around 7pm on a T-rigged worm in a shallow creek channel that was around 3ft deep. I caught another one that was around 14" on a 3/4 oz DJW spinnerbait. Went to fish some docks and around 8:30 my partner landed a nice 3lber on a T-rigged worm off of some steps that went into the water. We just weren't on a good amount of fish. Anyway, at about 9:15 we had to leave Wolftever to get to the weigh in at 9:30. I stopped at the rip rap just outside the bridge and started throwing a shad colored DT10 and caught another nice keeper, with 5 minutes to spare. My partner caught another non keeper but it's only a 3 fish tourney anyway. We weighed in 7.22lbs and came in 4th. The winner only had about a pound more. I love getting paid to fish, we had a blast.

Looks as if you all done good and had fun....emoParty

Ever wonder why they are called "DOG FIGHTS" ??? you're fishing ain't cha???emoScratch emoScratch emoGeezer

Way to go Davo, polo and I were out there and we were in his boat. We saw several boats out there tonight and thought it might have been the dog fight. Polo and I had maybe seven pounds with our best three so you would have beat us. Good job there Davo.emoThumbsup Jmax

We had 8.64 and missed big fish by three pounds. Its our second win of the year, we caught all our keepers in about a 30 min window between 7:45 and 8:15, my partner put a treble hook all the way through his finger at about 7:00 and it took me a half hour to get it out. We caught all our fish deep, like always. It was a ok night my fish are very moody some nights they bite some they don't. The wind was bad, in a 17'5 bass tracker any wind is bad, but we road the waves to the win.

Come see me at SW.

Yea I'll be in your hole tommrow. Na just joshin ya. I don't see how yall stayed out there as long as you did. The wind & the waves were bad. I'll be sore tommrow from being tossed around.

Hey Cory, great job. What were you guys catching them on? I didn't even want to bother with the whitecaps.

Great job Cory!!!!!!!!!!!!!emoParty I didn't know one of our CFF members won it. I like it when we start seeing the guys with us win and place in the local Tx. I keep saying I am going to have to get into those and always come up with some excuse not to. I am like Davo, tell us a little about it, how deep were they and on what did you have your win????emoScratch Inquiring minds want to know. Now you don't have to tell where you were but GPS locations would be nice.emoTongue Jmax

Ok we were fishing in about 24 feet on three different main lake humps catching fish on everything, C-rigs, T-rigs, and some on a shaky head, one keeper on a small jewel jig.

its 27 a person the first time and 12 every time after that. They pay about 5 or 6 spots and big fish. 3 fish limit. First place payed 200 last night, and big fish was 190.

You just need to show up with your $$. Blast off is at 6:30 and weigh in is 9:30. Hope to see you there. Look for me in a dark blue Stratos with gold trim, silver Johnson 150. Also has a CFF sticker on the back of the motor cowling.
