Ok, it is really quiet in here so need to get things going again! After 7 days in a row of workouts I took yesterday off and blew off getting up at 430 this morning, the ol' man's body needed it. I got it started again this evening with Body Beast Cardio and followed it up with P90X Ab Ripper. Neither of them were very pretty but I got'r done and feel better for it. Tomorrow morning will be back to lifting with Body Beast Back, I love that workout.

Now the tip of the day…

How to burn calories faster? Eat spicy food, eat frequently, eat fiber, drink coffee and green tea, keep moving the whole day.
 
Tip of the day: Add 1/2 to 1 full scoop of flavored protein powder to your oatmeal instead of sugar or honey. This reduces unneeded sugar calories and increases needed protein calories.
 
MrWiskers mentioned recovery drink after workouts in a previous post and I've been asked this quite a bit…

What supplements should you take after a workout?

Protein AND carbohydrates, ideally in a 4 to 1 ratio (4 parts carbs to 1 part protein), which is what Results and Recovery formula is. Basically, the carbs (sugars) convert to glycogen and are stored in your muscles, replenishing them with fuel. The sugars also help your muscles more efficiently use the protein to repair muscle from the trauma induced by your workout.
