I have a 2006 stratos 285 xl my passenger side tire is bald on outer edge and began showing the steel belts . Driver side is fine . I rotated the tires when I 1st noticed the problem now that tire is showing the same wear . Spindle is factory welded and I havent hit anything that would cause this . It seems to be a defect . What are my options if any . Thanks BB45

Outter edge on the passenger side meaning driver side of boat right? Could be the turns off hiways but that rarely is the problem unless the tire pressure is low. I'd say the toe in the spindle is out or camber.

Yeah its driverside of boat and looks like the first pic. in diagram . But I see no ajustments unless it can be heated and staightened .

Heating that thing is a bad idea. It will never be "just right" and the strength in the axle will weaken. I would suggest a new spindle or axle.

BB45, you can cold bend the axle to get the toe out of it by using a hydrolic jack and a chain. This is a proven method of straightening but dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. You can PM me if you want to tackle this project and I can give you the details. This is something you want to be very careful in doing, emoRolleyes
To find out if there IS toe-in use a tape measure to measure from inside of tire on one side to the inside of tire on the other side. Try to measure the same distance off the floor on both front and back of each tire going from inside of tire to inside of tire, emoThumbsup

Is there a place I could take it to for an alighnment for a trailer such as mine ? I wouldnt think just anyone could do trailers since there mostley set up for vehichles . When i replaced that tire I took it to Walmart and they said I would have to take the tire off myself for liability issues . So I did it in there parking lot .

You might try Truck n trailers Usa , they can usually tell what the problem is. One simple thing could be excissive weight on that side of boat, but I still would guess its a allignment problem.
