Wow, Nickajack has went from the low 80's last week to 88+ most places with some over 90 deg on the lower end. To say the least the last 2 evenings flat out sucked. Other then a few tail grabbers Ive had 1 solid bite in the last 2 outings and it was a short. Ive fished from 2' of water flipping to 20' cranking and tossing a Carolina rig with no takers. Grass is thick in most places with tons on eel grass on the lake this year. Good luck out there, this heat wave's gotta break soon and bring some rain.

You are too shallow. I have caught them as deep as 45 feet. Reel them in slow if deep.
