I think he's a good choice for you guys. He was done WRONG out in Oakland and I felt bad for the guy. He will be wanting to redeem himself and I wish him well if he is in fact the new guy

I don't know what I think about Kiffin. I can see his upside, but he needs to surround himself with great ass. coaches. I suppose with him, they will go back to the pro style offense though, don't mind that at all. The Vols are going to suck badly next year regardless. Need some players to develop in a hurry!!

Nutt is a good coach, but will never win a championship. He gets teams to a good winning level, but can never seem to get them to the championship level. I like him though.

Looks like it.. seems there are 2 different reports coming out, one points to Kiffin, the other points to Brian Kelly. Not sure this is signed and sealed just yet. On an interesting note, if we do get Kiffin, Coach O of Old Miss Fame will prolly be the D-Coord.

This cracked me up until I read the rest of it.emoLaugh </p>

yea I have also heard reports about Brian Kelly. But Kiffin would be my choice of the two. He seems to have the fire he needs to succeed

Kiffen? Kelly? Neither is ready to coach a team in the SEC against the likes of Saban, Richt, Spurrier, or Meyer. If either of these two are hired, look for Tennnesse to play in the Music City or Peach bowl every year.

Mike Leach in my opinion is a goon, and I want nothing to do with him. His teams are terrible on GRASS, look at his record over the last 4 years on real grass. Neyland is grass... It makes a difference. I would be thrilled with the Peach Bowl this year!

I noticed no one is talking about Leacha anymore after he got his butt handed to him. That is funny. Kelly looks to be a pretty good coach and someone has definately made his QB at Cincy a good one. Look for the the QB coach to come with him. Which is exactly what Crompton needs!

I think that Kelly is the front runner rather than Kiffen. Read his comments he made Sunday. He just said it he is not thinking about it until after the season. No denial like with Davis and Gruden.

I'd love to have Leach still. I am no way sold on Kiffin. Between the 3 mention here, I'd order them like this.

1. Kelly
2. Leach
3. Kiffin

I think Kelly would be a better choice. he has won everywhere he's been. Everyone Harps on Kiffin's recruiting, but who couldn't recruit to USC?

I dunno, I'm just a bit confused by the whole situation. There is no easy answer on this one.

Kiffin led the resurgence from within in 2001 for USC. As most of you will remember USC was just very mediocre in the late 90s. He was WR coach for players like Mike Williams and Steve Smith, also he was pivotel in recruiting Patrick Turner, who was from right here in our home state. The guy can recruit, and was a fantastic positions coach. I think he'd be a good fit, and would work in nicely. Especially with Orgeron as his recruiting lead and defensive coordinator. Coach O was a goon for a head coach, but he can flat recruit. Look at the talent he brought to Ole Miss, not even cutcliffe could do that. Also he was a key for all those dynamite defenses USC had from 01-04.

I think Kelly would be a good pick up as well, but its not going to happen. Mike Hamilton is in love with Lane Kiffin for what ever reason. I have faith in him. There was a lot of questions when he went and got Bruce Pearl, but look how that turned out.

I have never been thrilled with Leach, so the game Saturday really didn't make a difference to me. You are right though FHS, many folks turned coat after that game.

I'll run around my apartment complex naked if its not Kiffin. I promise...

I am not going to run around Naked, but I too believe it is Kiffin. We need someone with big time football experience. This almost reminds me of the Georgia situation when they got Richt from Florida St. He is young, fit(no more fat jokes) energetic. My pick of those mentioned.
