Well day started off pretty good. Got there around 6:30 wanted to get some fishing in before the tournament friday. First spot we went to caught a couple small spots on a prop bait. Couldn't get any big bites so we ran down about 5 miles. Started fishing all the structure we could find in the water and Alan hooked up on one about a pound. About 5 minutes later I hook up on a 5 lber. I wanted to find some more places to hit so I went to crank the motor and it wouldn't start. Tinkered with the motor for about 10 minutes while Alan trolled around fishing and finally go it to start up but one of my cylinders weren't firing. Couldn't get it to idle so we ran back to the dock and loaded up so I could figure out what was wrong with it. Got home and took the head off cause I was sure one of the cylinders were bad and it was. It is only a 60 hp. It has been a good motor but I think it's time for an upgrade. I'm looking for a 115-150 hp Johnson or Evinrude. If anyone has one they want to get rid of fairly cheap just let me know. I can't live without my boat......lol

I have an 89 johnson gt 150 on my boat and I saw a couple weeks ago that the same motor was up for sale here on the site. Check the classifieds, may be what youre looking for.

Just finished swapping motors. My buddy Matt is letting me use his since his boat still isn't finished. Just have to clean the carbs out good and tune on it at the lake. Thanks Matt you're a life saver.......

Well just finished tuning it up. It cranks as soon as you hit the trigger. Looking forward to getting it on the lake in the morning. I'm use to only doing about 28mph in my little 60 hp. Can't wait to see what this one does. Sounds pretty mean.

Just got back from the lake trying out the old johnson. That is the fastest my boat has been since I got it. I only got it up to 45 but she had some more in her. That was 3/4 throttle because I have to adjust my hotfoot. I'm pretty sure I can get 50 out of it once I adjust that and hook the trim up.... I'm very happy. Now maybe I can get to my spots before everyone else beats me there. . See you all tomorrow night.
