I wanted to see if anyone has had any luck with any topwater baits yet?????

Water temp just hit 60 this weekend at the Riverpark. Topwater should start any time. We caught quite a few spots right against the bank on blades which is the first sign of the fish pulling up. Bprice and I plan to fish all day Wednesday so I will let you know about topwater Wednesday evening. Once they start is will be wide open.

I saw quite a bit of topwater activity Saturday on the Chick, in Sale Creek. I was in a buddy's boat with my "buddy bag" and did not have any topwater baits. If I had a Rico, I can guarantee you I'd have thrown it. I'm ready!

Supposedly my boat will be ready by this weekend and if it is I will let you know. I am just about to go nuts. Whiskers got it right, the majical number is 60. When it hits that number they will hit topwater.emoRolleyes Jmax

Hey Jmax I've been there, it isn't fun. I remember the reports that you had last spring and look forward to somemore. Ain't nuthin better than a good ole topwater bite
Yesterday we had 62-63 degree water and could not buy a topwater bite. The spots have not moved up on the banks for some reason and until they do the topwater bite will be dead.</p>

Ahh but topwater is on .. or at least it was this afternoon .. I went out for about an hour .. son has BBall game this eve .. last night lots of busting fish .. no takers .. today was dif story .. I found 12 bass on spook and 4 on a pop-r in an hour or so .. so Id say they are hitting topwater .. biggest was 3lb

I fished a small pond by my house this morning and the first two that I caught were on a buzzbait. I notice several beds getting made also.
