The wind was ferocious out there today.  We had 23 boats, 17lbs to win, water temp 40`, winning limit came on a red lucky craft trap.  Only had 1 limit, 3 - 4 fish creels, rest mostly 1's and 2's.  It was a rough and cold day out there with the wind.  I only had a 3.53 largmouth, trolling motor cable broke about 11:30, 5 min after catching the 3 pounder.  My fish came in about 4ft of water with boat in 8ft, rat L trap with slow, slow presentation in grass.  The winners caught all their fish in grass too.</p>

Wow sounds like the fish are still active on the gun to catch them in 4 foot of water on a trap. I have to get with somebody that knows the lake to show me something. I have never even seen Guntersville lake, but by the sound of it I would like it. Thanks for the report.

Just got back from 6 days in Florida catching some slab crappie. I will post some pics a little later. Thomas and I only got 5 bites all day and landed all five. Windy, windy, and more windy. I stopped crappie fishing for a couple of weeks to find some fish on Guntersville. Thanks to Jody and the other Tri-state bass anglers members for letting us fish. Looks like I won't be crappie fishing very much any more. Rsimms, you see the red Georgia hat and the Georgia shirt. It catches them almost every time.
