Fished T today and the wind was terrible! Anyway saw jmax in my hole first thing this mourning and got to talk a little while we fished. It was nice to finally meet some of you guys in person. I think choo choo snake man was with him. Anyway caught three keepers from underneath his boat, that was an added bonus. Moved up river to a channel break and picked up two more keepers along with a slab crappie. Piddled around there for a couple hours and then went to a bluff and caught some slicks. Finnished back up where we saw jmax and caught two more keepers. Finished T with about 11 pounds and almost lost to a guy with ONE FISH! The only other boat had one mogombie that weighed 9.90. All fish was caught in 12-20 feet of water and on vareity of lures. I will try to post some pics from the T. Sorry I missed your guys tournament but I will try to make the next one.

MD, thanks for sharing your day with us and thanks again for sharing info with us all. In the long run all of us will benefit from info sharing. Jmax is a great guy, I'm glad that you finally got to meet him. I was under the impression that the bass use his boat for overhead cover and your comments about catching fish from under his boat confirms that assumption. Great bunch of fish and It's great to hear about a fish nearly 10lb from the Chick. I'd love to catch a fish like that here some day.

I forgot to mention the guy holding the fish is Steve Kincade from Polk Co. He did release the fish to be caught another day. That takes a heck of a guy to release a fine fish like that and never think twice. emoWorthy

Dang Madd Dog, I don't know if we really want you fishing our Tx's. We generally suck, but for you to bring in that sack today takes some skill.

emoThumbsup Nice bag there. Did you get some on the grub again today? WOW, what a toad too, did he give any details on that one? Thanks for the report.

I do believe you need to consider fishing the cba if you don't already ,thats a quality bag of fish for any one this time of the year. The cba has more sponsors, more options to score, more money, and I think one in five boats get paid avg. Sounds like you had a great day on the lake especially when catching fish out from under another's boat ,got to go I'm headed to the lake to put in at grass hopper right now I'm about to fish all over my self.

Mr. Kincade didn't give many details except that he caught the fish in about 20-25 foot of water and on a jig. He also made the comment that he has caught bigger on the chick before. I think he knows something I don't.

I have had the oppourtunity to fish with Kincaid the past two tournaments and I have learned alot from him. He has been fishing Chick for almost 30 years. Trust me the 10lber was a suprise!! He made the comment that he hasn't seen a big fish like that in years!! It is good to see one like that and watch it get released!! By the way everyone is welcome to come fish with us every Saturday morning at Grasshopper. The tournament starts at Safe Light and we finish at 2:30. Hope to see some new faces this Saturday!!!

It is just a local tournament that we have year round. The entry fee is 12.50 per person and $5 per person big fish. It is 100% pay back. If there is 14 people or less we pay first place and big fish. If there are 16-24 people we pay first and second place and big fish. If there are 25 or more people we pay 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and big fish. We will continue the day tournament until the water level comes back to summer pool, then we go back to the night tournament which is 7pm - 2am.
