After manning the Scenic City Fishing Charters table with Richard Simms at Cabela's today, couldn't resist hooking the boat up to get in a few hours trying to catch a bass. With the warm, STRONG south wind, decided to spend my time targeting windy pockets. Caught a couple of small keepers on a trap at the 1st stop. The 2nd slough was 2* warmer & that made the difference. Lost what felt like a good one. Then got a 5.5#, then got a 8.13#. So tickled I got my weigh in bag to lay her on & get a pic after I weighed her. Weighed her, unclamped the scales from her jaw & slipped her back in the water... then realized I forgot to take a picture in my haste to release her!! Oh well, she was a good un, & she's back in the water to have her babies! Then caught a 3.5# before heading to the ramp.
