I have an older moultrie camera that uses a 6 volt battery and it does real good it is digital, I have noticed the new ones all seem to use 6 C batteries.I'm looking to get another one and was wondering what yalls opinion was on the different type. So what type do you use and what type of batteries and how long does the batteries usually last for you.

i am using a bushnell 5 mega pixel, it uses 4 d cell batteries and they seem to last long enough for about 185-215 pics depending on the number of night pics.

im using a wildgame innovations 5 megapixel infrared from dicks sporting goods and i keep it on video, i get anywhere from 150-250 videos a week day and night. it uses 6 C batteries and usually lasts a little over a month.

Alot of it depends on ambient temp as well as day pics vs. night pics. Obviously video is gonna suck your battery quick.

I average roughly 1000 photos on 4 C batteries and 1500-2000 on my cameras using 8 AA batteries

yeah dad uses a stealth cam and he keeps it set on just pictures and his batteries last alot longer than mine. also i wonder ifbeing infrared and standard flash has anything to do with battery life??? emoScratch emoScratch

If you're hunting for sasquatch, make sure you get one with a clear picture so that we don't get any grainy pictures. Chattanooga is in the sasquatch triangle.
