Anyone know of a boat dealer or service center that can lift my boat off the trailer so I can adjust the bunks without having to take up dock space somewhere?

I need to do this as well.. what has been recommended to me is to use jacks on the boat itself, but I really don't like the sound of this idea.. I'd like to hear what people have to say on this as well.

When my boat is off the trailer, I like to be in it. emoLaugh

I changed out four bunks, pre carpeted in about a half hour at cester frost on a slow day and bothered no one. Took the old home and disposed of on acess rd trash drop off.

I'm thinking this is what I'll end up doing.. bring the toolbox and what I need, throw the boat in the lake, and get to workin'.

Here's what works on my sailboat. Let trailer jack down as far as it will go and block up the back of the boat. Raise the trailer jack as far as it will go and block up the front of the boat with a timber widder than the trailer. Let jack down half way and pull trailer out from under boat. To put it back, just reverse the procedure. If you have upright guides it probably won't work.

What bunks are you adjusting? All of them or inside/ outside only? They are adjustable right?

If its the outside...just loosen the nuts and move them. All your weight is supported on the inside ones anyway. If after that if you want to adjust the inside...get a floor jack, loosen all the nuts except for the front Xmbr and move them into position with the main weight sitting on the outside ones. jack the boards into place tightly and bolt up the rear Xmbr...then move the front one into place and do the same. Now get the ones on the middle of the trailer. Kinnda hard to explain but Ive done hundreds of these things that way.
