I have a 2009 F150 and a 1998 Procraft. When I hook up the boat and turn on the headlights on my truck it blows a fuse. The truck blows the fuse for the running lights. I have not yet determined if its the truck or the trailer.
Any suggestions?
The break lights still work, but the running lights will stay on for 20 seconds or so and blow the fuse.
Thanks

If its doing it only when the trailer is hooked up, its not the truck.

Trace all wires and look for a BROWN wire touching metal or broken.

I agree, it's the trailer. These shorts can be difficult to find. I'd replace the wiring, make sure you've got the ground attached, and be done with it.

Buoy Master is correct. Also check the lights on trailer and make sure they dont have water in them. suspect location are where the wire come out of trailer from going to the light, Sometime they will rub the insulation off and ground out there.

Check trailer lightbulb sockets also. Have seen where they have, for whatever reason, get messed up and can touch trailer and cause a short.
