What is the difference between a trailer tire and a car/truck tire, and can I use auto tires on my trailer? I don't use the boat that much, just need reliability.

Some dealers will not put car or truck tires on a trailer. I just got 2 new rims and 3 new tires at North GA tire on 2a in ringgold for 379$ Top of line radials. They will last me a good while and I dont have to worry about blow outs. I have had 2 in the last year, so no more car or truck tires for me. JMO.

True, but Ive seen people run them for years so long as the weight carrying capacity is right. Better to go over if anything. Leave some room.

I still wouldnt do it myself...Goodyear Marathons are top knotch.

West lake radial 80$ each, the guy there said they were a good tire and I shouldnt have any problems with them.

i have always used auto tires, why? you can buy two auto tires for the price of one trailer tire, i have never had a blow-out, i think the load rate on auto tires is good enough for most boats, had them on my javelin 389 trailer worked great, it's a money thing.
