Hey guys I've got a couple pretty scary looking trailer tires from hauling the boat around. I need to replace my tires plus a spare. I have looked a couple of places but not seriously until now and was wanting your opinions where to buy good tires. ANy where in the Chattanooga or N GA area will do. I have 13" wheels if that matters. I have even thought about finding some 13 or 14" aluminum wheels with car tires and using them but not sure if that would matter either. Thanks for the help I've never had a question go unanswered on here so let er rip! emoThanks emoThumbsup

Check with Buoy-Master tosee if he can hook you up. He knows all about trailers and trailer tires. I would go with tires rated for trailers rather than regular car/truck tires. I think the trailer tires have different sidewalls made especially for trailers but Buoy-Master could explain it better than I.

Because the main function of a trailer tire is to haul weight, it often has more rigid sidewalls and stiffer construction. Car tires offer a cushier ride to provide support for the driver and passengers. Many trailer tires are bias ply, meaning they are made of stacked layers of steel and rubber. Car tires are radials, meaning they have a curved, single layer of steel cords that stretch from sidewall to sidewall,if you are having abnormal wear patterns on your tires, there is most likely something wrong with your trailer, tracking, camber,,my opinion is to use whats recommended by trailer manufacturer,,

Yes I was eating up tires pretty bad but I found that my wheels were a tad bit lose on the axles giving them a little side to side movement. Bouy-Master helped me out at the ramp one morning and we fixed the problem and I think the tire issue is resolved. However I DO need to replace the ones that are on the trailer now. Just didnt know where I could get the best deal.

Call me today silly.

Trail America has a GOOD Radial out. Those bias plys, regardless of what brand trailer they are on, are junk.
