Whats up with this crap having a 5 prong plug for brake assembly on my 04 Stratos trailor.. The short truck I need to use to back boat in garage doesn't have but a 4 way. Is there someway I can bypass this brake when backing up without having to use a 5 prong plug ?

Dryhorn, there is usually a button or knob on the master cylinder that you can turn to one side and it will keep the actuator from working. On the one I had I just tapped into my back up lights and attached a wire to the back up light wire and put a barrel connector on it. I plugged it in beside the 4 way plug and when in reverse it sends electric to the backing solinoid to lock it out.

Its not to hard to do and comes in handy when I use my other truck for towing.

Right Fisherpal2k but if it dosent have one , he needs to holler at me. My Stratos didnt come with one.

The 5th blue wire is the backup wire. You can tie a wire in at your back up lights on the truck. It will connect to the 5th prong on the trailer harness. The blue wire on the trailer goes to your actuator and sends a feed to the seliniod which shuts down (bypass) the fuild going to the lines. This allows you to backup. Its really a great feature.
