<font face="georgia,palatino" size="2">I runa system that is about the same as the first choice. Basically all of the weight is on the transom. The one upside that I see is if you are traveling a bumpy area the motor is not slamming down onto a third party which may be going in the opposite direction if the boat bounces on the trailer.On most smooth surfaces it probably doesn't matter.</font>
 
I just use the thing that goes on,on the rollers on the trailer,attaches to the lower unit and then stretches to the rollers,it seems to keep from bouncing.
 
I think that as long as you keep the motor from bouncing around and secure then your ok. The amount of stress on a transom is gonna be way more on the water than going down the road.
 
Bullet doesnt recommend using a motor support that is resting on the trailer. I use something similar to the first unit.
