Trim switch problem

I have a 2010 Evinrude 115. The trim switch on the shifter went out. It will trim up, but won't trim down. The trim works on the motor and also on the front of the boat, so I'm assuming it must be the trim switch. Any suggestions on who to take it to? Thanks

It might be cheaper to buy a blinker trim style switch and install it yourself.

I was just in the same situation. Blinker trim off ebay is the way to go

I did my 2006 E-tec. Ordered the switch from Fish n Fun and installed myself. If it is a bad wire, you could splice in a new piece, and save some $$$$$$$$$$$$. Mine was because the installation of an additional switch left a wire shortened, and eventually broke.

Thanks for the info. It works from time to time. I might just have to take it apart and see if something has come loose

If a wire shorted, it would have blown a fuse.

Thanks for the help guys. Ended up taking it to Arrowhead and they replaced the trim switch.
