Day 2 in PC. The morning was calm...dead calm. The dead also existed in the bites. jerk bait, traps, square bill...nothing. Swithched to a small plastic jig and “wolla” caught my first fish that apparently was surprised by the varmit invading its stump privacy. Decided to move into the creek area and threw a blade for the sole purpose of getting some kind of bite like a striper. OMG, I was rewarded with a 5lb 5oz little large mouth girl by throwing away from the bank and into the open water. Six more casts and two more chunky little darlings. By now the wind was really kicking up. I switched up to a red eyed sexy shad large rattle trap and BANG, yet another....and another....and another! These were not “keepers” but rather chunks....3-4 lbs. This is the best catching I’ve had since last year. The learning between yesterday and today appears to be....when the weather gets bad, the fishing gets good.
