Well, after trying all the fishing spots you so kindly submitted (thanks, by the way), I finally found one. With fish! It's kind of secluded; over by Loftis Middle School, as soon as you turn onto Camp Columbus Rd., take the first left, drive for about half a mile. It's a nice walk out to the spot, they dam it up during the winter and release it in April. Anyway, my first time out there was awesome. I picked up with 2 friends and headed out at 5:00 pm. I reeled in a couple of stripers and a nice smallmouth. However, I seem to have run into a problem. The fish quit biting! I've been using the same old bait; Texas Rig with a small bullet weight. It just seems that the stumps, turtles, plastic bags and various other non-edible items are liking the bait more than the fish. It's the only spot I've been to that has turned up some decent fish. I'm fishing off the bank, but after April, I'll have to relocate. Any good tips on different rigs or bait that may have better outcomes? Or any more spots...
