Need some info. I brought a new boat in March and have kept the trolling battery charged up after a outing. How much life do you get out of a deep cycle battery? It is fully charged just not lasting as long as it should.

I run sealed AC-Delco batteries in my boat for the trolling motor for the past 13 years and the last about four years and Im always out fishing and running the trolling motor but they also cost around $125 too

Hey, Are you running two battteries for your trolling motor? I can't get 5 hours out of this current one. I don't care what it costs as long as I get a full days running. I don't have it rigged to my boat alternator for charging either, just had a 8 bank charger installed by dealer and hook that up when I get in. I love the boat just need to tweak the accessories to get the most out of them. I need to wear out the ears of some of you old hats.

I recently added a second battery for my trolling motor. I fished two twelve hour TXs and haven't had a problem with dying batteries. This and a bigger graph on bow have been my best investments since buying my boat. Just watch how you connect the batteries together. If your trolling motor is only 12 volts and you connect the batteries together wrong, you put 24 volts on it and its a gonner! All it takes is one jumper misplaced and that will happen. If you parralell 2 batteries, the voltage stays the same and you double the amps. If you series the voltage doubles!
