My trolling motor took a dump today and i was looking for a bow mounted, hand controlled, with 50 lb trust. But the catch is i need one with the clamps instead of the floor mounted variety. There are plenty of transom mounts with the clamps, but i can not find one for the bow. If you know where i can get one of these, PLEASE let me know! Thanks

Hogerhead, all you have to do is buy a transom mount trolling motor and remove the one bolt that bolts the head to the shaft and turn the head around 180 degrees. I have done this numerous time and it takes all of 5 minutes to do.

well doc, i didnt know if I could do that without having to rewire it. When my motor konked out on me, i took it apart and inside the power head, it looked like some of the wires were cut, and rewired. I didnt want to go that route if i was gonna have to splice into the pre-existing wire of a new trolling motor. I didnt know it was that easy to switch around, Thanks for the info! I wish i would have asked before i spent almost two hours looking on the internet!emoDoh

Hogerhead, you may want to take the top off of the trolling motor control head to make sure you don't pinch a wire when you remove and re-install the bolt and move the head around. You won't have to splice anything, there is enough slack in the wires to turn it. A 5 minute job.
