thougth i would pass this along, ever couple days or so there's a guy that sells the orginal "transducer shield" and band, hds mount etc on ebay,i got one for 24.95 delivered to the door,{45.00 delivered from bps,cabela's},a-1 quailty, great product,,,full warrenty

Do these prevent the std. snapping off at the stem between the mount and the transducer or just prevent scrapes and scuffs on the transducer?

i checked out some reveiws before i bought it,,most guys had already broken their's off,and instead of buying 100-$140.00 tranducer,,they bought the transducer shield and used it to house the broken tranducer with no problems..it is designed to protect your ducer,,,it's powder coated black alum. housing,i also bought powder coated black clamp which is designed to compress evenly, not like a regular hose clamp,,
